Today I saw an Angel cry as
she watched a small child passing by.
A little girl with dark brown hair,
big brown eyes and skin so fair.
A little girl who has lost her way
traveling along her path astray.
Anger and confusion ruling her soul
the agony of turmoil taking its toll.
The little girl stopped, saw the Angel
there
and somewhere beneath her cold somber glare.
A glimmer of light appeared in her eyes
For a brief moment, I saw the love inside.
As the Angel reached out to warmly embrace,
the girl turned and quickened her pace.
Without saying a word, the child passed by and with tear-filled eyes, I saw
the Angel cry.
The beautiful Angel quickly dried her
eyes
replaced her tears with warm love inside.
As she watched the young child walk away
in barely a whisper, I heard her say.
I am making a vow to this child so
small,
to stay by her side through it all.
Throughout her trials, I will be there
to offer comfort and warm loving care.
I will protect her and shield her with
God's
great love, replenish her heart with His
love from above. I will tenderly tell her
she has the courage to cope and when she is
ready to heal, there will always be hope.
In her suffering and painful darkness
of
fears, I will embrace her with love and wipe away all her tears. She will forever
know she is
never alone and when the time is right,
God will gently lead her home.
