2001 My New Beginnings

I will have a fresh new start. A new chapter in my

life waiting to be written. New questions to be

asked and embraced with love. New answers to

be discovered and then I will live in this

transformative year of delight and self-discovery.

Today I will carve out a quiet interlude for

myself in which to dream. Only dreams

can give birth to change. What are my hopes

for the future as I reflect on the years that have

passed? Gradually, as I become curator of my

own contentment, I will learn to embrace

the gentle yearning in my heart.

This year instead of resolutions, I will

write down my most private aspirations.

Those longings I have kept tucked away

until the time seemed right. I trust that

now is the time to ask my questions.

Often in the past I have turned away

from all that is unresolved in my heart

because I feared questioning. What

if I knew that a year from today, I could

be living the most creative, joyous

and fulfilling life I could imagine?

What changes would I make?

How and where would I begin?

I see now why the questions

are so important!

I will be patient toward all that is unsolved

in my heart and try to love the questions

themselves. The answers to my questions

will come, but only after I know which ones

are worth asking.

I will become open to the changes

that the answers will bring. This

may take some time, but time is the

New Year's bountiful blessing!

Three hundred sixty-five bright mornings

and starlit evenings. Fifty-two promising

weeks, and twelve transformative months.

Four full beautiful seasons of possibilities.

What a year to be savored!

My answers will come and I will

discover day by day how to live them.

I will take a leap of Faith and begin this

wondrous New Year by believing.

I will believe in myself and believe

there is a loving God waiting to be

asked to help me make my dreams

come true! Now I will welcome the New

Year full of things that have never been!
